Simon Harman has joined Comsure as a Risk and Compliance Consultant.
Simon brings 21 years of financial services experience including 15 years as a senior practitioner (job titles include – Group Governance, Risk and Compliance Director) and qualifications include BA (Hons), PgDL, Chartered MCSI, DipPFS, MIoD and Cert CII (MP) – more information later.
As Comsure’s Risk and Compliance Consultant Simon will continue acting as a Director and Jersey Key Person (Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer) as well the Nominated Chief Compliance Officer (for United States rules purposes) for Global Advisors (Jersey) Limited.
Global Advisors (Jersey) Limited [Global Advisors] are the investment advisers to the world’s first regulated bitcoin investment fund. Before Global Advisors, his roles have included acting as a Director and Key Person and overseeing multi-jurisdictional Group Risk, Compliance and Legal functions with responsibility for Compliance and Governance standards maintained within various firms.
Simons career was initially military and legal, before moving on to gain extensive Risk, Compliance and Corporate Governance experience Globally at Board level within independently owned, private equity backed, and bank owned companies.
Mr Harman’s qualifications include BA (Hons), PgDL, Chartered MCSI, DipPFS, MIoD and Cert CII (MP). He is also a qualified Flying Instructor, Examiner and Commercial Pilot.
