A Sark couple have both been jailed for money laundering.
In June Michael Doyle, 47, and Belinda Lanyon, 54, were also found guilty of carrying out regulated activities within the Bailiwick without a licence.
The pair had already pleaded guilty to carrying out an act intended to pervert the course of public justice.
In Guernsey’s Magistrate’s Court Doyle was jailed for a total of seven years and six months and Lanyon for three years and six months.
The perversion of justice charge related to the disposal of papers, which were evidence in the ongoing money laundering investigation.
The investigation into the offences took place over four years and involved law enforcement agencies from the US and seven other countries.
