Police have urged the public to help them find a suspected ‘Walter Mitty’ fraudster who may be hiding behind a series of false identities.
Tyrone Somerszaul, 35, of south London, is wanted in connection with a series of sophisticated frauds.
He is accused of using false identities to cheat a series of businesses and financial institutions out of cash and high value goods.
Detectives in London believe Somerszaul may be hiding in the capital, but he also has links to Nottingham, Manchester and Kent.
In London, he has been known to stay in the Hackney, Hornsey, Edmonton, Chigwell, Greenwich and Richmond areas.
Somerszaul uses several false names including Tyrone Simmons, Tyrone Myrie, Dean Miller, Dean Carter and Sean Kimani Taylor.
One officer said Somerszaul has never had a job and is suspected of being a professional conman who lives a ‘Walter Mitty’ lifestyle.
Walter Mitty was a fictional character created in the late 1930s of an outwardly unremarkable man who lived a vivid fantasy life.
Somerszaul was described by police as black, 5ft 8ins, of thin build and with a distinct south London accent.
He has a tattoo on the left side of his neck saying ‘unstoppable’ and a gold tooth on his upper right side.
