The Commission has published 19 February 2010 a consultation paper on the regulatory requirements for Jersey registered deposit takers in respect of the provision of financial information and public disclosures. The aims are to:

1. bring together existing requirements regarding the provision of financial information to the Commission;
2. increase the availability of financial information on banks to the public, including via their websites; and
3. require that disclosures regarding relevant depositor compensation schemes are made in banks’ advertisements.

The consultation period will run until 19 May 2010 and feedback is welcomed from all interested parties.
