HMRC uploads tax cheat rogues gallery

Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is publishing the photographs of more than 30 of last year’s biggest tax cheats as part of a tax evasion campaign.
The photographs have been published on popular photo sharing website Flickr.
HMRC said the individuals had been sentenced to a total of 155 years and 10 months combined behind bars as a result of their actions.
Publication of the mug shots is part of a government campaign that saw it invest £917m in tackling tax evasion, avoidance and fraud between 2011-12.
Exchequer secretary to the Treasury, David Gauke, said: “The government is committed to closing in on tax evaders. Most people play by the rules and pay what they owe, but HMRC is cracking down on those who don’t.
“We hope that publishing these pictures will help get show that it always makes sense to declare all your income, and tax dodgers are simply storing up trouble for the future.”
