ANTI-MONEY laundering and authorisations procedures at the Guernsey Financial Services Commission have been centralised in a bid to improve efficiency and consistency.
29 Oct 2012
The commission has established an authorisations unit, while anti-money laundering will be handled by a new division, both recommendations made in the Ernst & Young international evaluation review of the commission. Previously, both functions were undertaken separately by each of the divisions.
‘The work to centralise these two important functions of the commission’s work is an excellent example of our progression of the recommendations of the Ernst & Young review,’ said chief operating officer Neville Johnson,
‘It will improve the quality of delivery of the commission and should be welcomed by licensees.’
