Commission initiatives for the remainder of 2012

The European Commission has published an updated table containing estimated dates for the issue of a number of legislative initiatives and non-legislative acts for the period from 27 September to 31 December 2012 including:
• proposal for a Directive on the prevention of the use of the financial system for the purpose of money laundering, including terrorist financing, due November 2012;
• Securities Law Regulation, due December 2012;
• proposal for a Regulation on information on the payer and the beneficiary accompanying transfers of funds, due November 2012;
• Solvency II level 2 implementing measures, due November 2012;
• review report on the Financial Conglomerates Directive (2002/87/EC), due December 2012; and
• communication on improving governance of the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) and Commission Decision formally establishing the SEPA Council, due December 2012.
