AN independent financial services consultant and charity campaigner has been banned from working as a director and in other key roles in Jersey’s financial services industry.
A public statement released by the Jersey Financial Services Commission announced that Jon Paul Hackwood has been found to be ‘not fit and proper’ to hold various senior roles in any licensed financial services business in the Island.
The announcement was made after an investigation was carried out into the activities of 50-year-old Mr Hackwood.
The JFSC said that they were unable to say for legal reasons any further detail on why the ban was imposed.
